Privacy Policy
Published and effective September 30, 2026
Partner Tasks is an application operated through meetingscribes.com ("Partner Tasks," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains the information Partner Tasks handles, why it is used, where it is stored, and the controls available to you.
At a glance
- No advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or sale of personal information.
- Household information is stored on your device and, when iCloud features are used, in Apple's CloudKit service.
- Invited household participants can read and change the household information shared with them.
- You can create a local JSON export of the active household; Partner Tasks does not upload it automatically.
- Notifications are optional and controlled through Partner Tasks and iOS Settings.
- Points, scores, streaks, and rewards are household planning features—not money, purchases, gift cards, or prizes supplied or redeemed by Partner Tasks.
Information handled by Partner Tasks
Partner Tasks handles information that you or another household participant enter or generate while using the app, including:
- household and member profile names, colours, roles, and stable member or participant identifiers;
- task titles, notes, assignments, dates, recurrence rules, status, reminders, approvals, and activity history;
- completion history, score events, points, and streaks;
- user-created reward information, which may include a title, target score, display price, and optional web link; and
- CloudKit record identifiers, share and zone information, timestamps, sync state, and deletion records needed to synchronize, recover, share, and delete household data.
Partner Tasks also stores settings on your device, including theme and notification preferences. iOS manages notification authorization and scheduled notification delivery. Depending on your iOS notification and lock-screen settings, a notification may display task information.
The app does not request your contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, camera, health information, or payment-card information. Partner Tasks does not provide in-app purchases or subscriptions.
How information is used
Partner Tasks uses this information only to provide the app's functions, including household setup, task planning, assignments, reminders, approvals, scoring, user-created rewards, synchronization, sharing, recovery, and deletion.
The score and reward features are organizational tools for members of a household. Points have no monetary value. Partner Tasks does not sell rewards, process payment, redeem points, or guarantee that a household-created reward will be provided.
Local storage, iCloud, and sharing
The app stores data locally using Apple's SwiftData technology. When iCloud synchronization or household sharing is used, the app stores data in the Partner Tasks CloudKit container associated with your Apple Account.
Partner Tasks does not create a separate developer-operated account. An Apple Account signed in to iCloud is required for CloudKit synchronization and sharing.
Two-account requirement: To share between two people, the owner and invitee must each be signed in to iCloud with a separate Apple Account. The invitee must accept the CloudKit invitation. Every accepted participant can access and change the shared household data.
Partner Tasks keeps a private identity-binding record in each participant's private CloudKit database. It links the accepted CloudKit participant to the correct household member profile and contains stable identifiers and CloudKit record metadata. This helps prevent one participant from being mapped to another participant's profile.
Apple provides the device, iCloud, CloudKit, notification, and sharing infrastructure under Apple's terms and privacy protections. CloudKit data is transmitted using Apple's protected network services. Partner Tasks does not add its own end-to-end encryption layer to household content. Household content is intentionally available to accepted share participants.
Tracking, advertising, and sale of data
Partner Tasks does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not sell or rent personal information.
Notifications
Notification permission is optional. You can change reminder preferences in Partner Tasks and change or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings at any time. Remote notifications may be used as a silent signal that CloudKit data changed; alert content is generated through the app's reminder features. Apple may process notification delivery information as part of providing its services.
Your controls: export, sharing, leaving, and deletion
- Export: In Settings > Privacy & Data, Export Household Data creates a JSON file from the active household's local snapshot. The file contains household-visible personal data such as member profiles, tasks, notes, activity, approvals, scores, reminders, and user-created rewards. Sync immediately before exporting to include the latest available CloudKit changes. The export does not contain Apple Account credentials or private identity-binding records. Partner Tasks does not automatically upload the file or send it to support; you choose where to save or share it. Anyone with access to the exported file may be able to read its contents, so protect or delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Household owner: Settings includes a control to delete the household. The app first deletes the household hierarchy from the active CloudKit database and the current Apple Account's private identity binding, confirms the server operations, and then clears the local household data. This removes the shared household for its participants and cannot be undone.
- Participant: Settings includes a control to leave the household. Leaving ends that Apple Account's participation in the CloudKit share, deletes its private identity binding, and clears the household from that device. A new invitation is required to rejoin.
- Managing another participant: Removing a member profile reassigns that profile's active tasks, but does not by itself revoke that person's CloudKit access. The household owner must manage that person's access separately through Apple's iCloud sharing controls.
When a participant leaves, information they previously added to the household—including tasks, activity, approvals, score events, and other shared contributions—remains part of the household and remains available to the owner and remaining participants unless an authorized participant deletes it or the owner deletes the household.
Apple may maintain temporary service backups or other records under its own retention and legal obligations. Partner Tasks does not impose a separate retention period for household content after the app's confirmed deletion operation.
For questions or help using the available controls, email support@meetingscribes.com. You do not need to send CloudKit record IDs, device identifiers, screenshots, or an exported household file in your first message. If troubleshooting later requires specific diagnostic information, support will explain the minimum information needed before you share it. Because household content is held in your private or shared CloudKit databases, support may not be able to retrieve or reconstruct it.
Children and family use
Partner Tasks is a general household organizer and includes optional child member profiles. A parent or guardian should create and manage a household, invitations, permissions, and any profile used for a child. Use a nickname instead of a child's full name where appropriate, and do not enter sensitive information in tasks or notes. Partner Tasks does not use children's information for advertising or tracking.
Website and support communications
These static pages include no analytics, advertising trackers, web forms, external scripts, or application cookies. Cloudflare hosts and secures the site and may process ordinary connection information, such as IP address, browser information, requested page, and time of request, or use necessary security mechanisms under Cloudflare's terms and privacy practices.
If you email support, we and the email providers involved receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use support communications to answer your request, troubleshoot the issue, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations. Do not email task contents or other household information unless support specifically asks for information that is necessary to investigate your issue.
Security
Partner Tasks relies on Apple's platform security, CloudKit access controls, code signing, and protected network transport. Access to shared data is controlled through the Apple Accounts participating in a CloudKit share. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your device passcode and Apple Account, review share participants, and remove access when it is no longer needed.
International processing
Apple, Cloudflare, and the email providers used to deliver support communications may process information in countries or regions other than your own, subject to their terms, privacy practices, and applicable legal safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how the app handles information, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
