Partner Tasks Support
Help with iCloud sharing, synchronization, notifications, household controls, and the Partner Tasks app.
Contact support
Email is the support channel for Partner Tasks. You do not need to include record IDs, device identifiers, screenshots, household contents, or an exported household file in your first message.

Quick checks
iCloud sync
Confirm that the device is signed in to iCloud, has an internet connection, and allows Partner Tasks to use iCloud. In Partner Tasks, open Settings and use Repair Sync.
Notifications
Open Partner Tasks Settings to select reminder types. Then check iOS Settings → Notifications → Partner Tasks. Notification permission is optional.
Invitation will not open
Confirm the invitee is signed in to a different Apple Account, open the newest invitation on that account's device, and allow iCloud sharing to finish before reopening the app.
Missing recent changes
Keep the app open briefly on a working connection, then use Repair Sync. Avoid editing the same item on both devices until synchronization completes.
Sharing requirements
Two people need two Apple Accounts. The owner and invitee must each be signed in to iCloud with a separate Apple Account. After accepting the CloudKit share, the participant creates their own member profile in Partner Tasks.
- Partner Tasks household sharing is private and read-write.
- Accepted participants can see and change shared household names, member profiles, tasks, notes, assignments, reminders, activity, scores, approvals, and user-created rewards.
- Removing a member profile does not itself revoke that person's CloudKit sharing access. The owner should manage that participant separately in Apple's iCloud sharing controls.
Leave or delete a household
- Participants: Settings → Leave Household ends participation in the share, removes the private identity binding, and clears the household from that device. A new invitation is needed to return.
- Owners: Settings → Delete Household deletes the CloudKit household hierarchy for every participant and then clears local data. This cannot be undone.
A participant's earlier shared contributions remain in the household after that participant leaves. The owner and remaining participants continue to see those tasks, history, approvals, scores, and other shared content unless an authorized participant deletes them or the owner deletes the household.
Export household data
Open Settings > Privacy & Data > Export Household Data to create a JSON file from the active household's local snapshot. Sync immediately before exporting so the snapshot includes the latest available CloudKit changes.
- The file contains household-visible personal data, including member profiles, tasks, notes, activity, approvals, scores, reminders, and user-created rewards.
- It does not contain Apple Account credentials or private identity-binding records.
- Partner Tasks does not automatically upload the file or send it to support. You choose where to save or share it.
- Anyone with the file may be able to read its contents. Store it securely and delete copies you no longer need.
Support can help explain the export and other in-app or iCloud controls but may not be able to access or reconstruct content held in your private or shared CloudKit database.
Points and rewards
Points, scores, streaks, target prices, and reward links are user-created household planning features. They have no cash value. Partner Tasks does not sell products, take payment, offer in-app purchases, redeem points, or supply household rewards.
Privacy and security
Partner Tasks stores household data locally and in Apple's CloudKit when iCloud features are used. It does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Partner Tasks does not add its own end-to-end encryption layer; accepted household participants can read shared content. Read the full Privacy Policy.
